The originator and leader of the group is Mariusz Woźniak. GTG members meet on Thursdays for a working seminar. The idea of the activity of the Graph Theory Group dates back to the early 21st century. The members have been changing and the ranks of the group have been enriched by new participants, and the meeting places have been altered too. What has not changed, is the basic idea of openness constituting the foundations of setting up the group, starting with a concept, formulation of a problem, through a realization, until the editing process. At each stage, anyone providing a significant contribution, becomes a coauthor. Such a cooperation while investigating various aspects of graph theory constitutes the cornerstone and grants a particular nature to the meetings of the group. The result of this cooperation are numerous articles, each including several members of the group in the list of authors. This is illustrated by the graph of cooperation.
The openness concerns also the presentation of results. These are often published on the Internet in the form of preprints, and frequently are the subjects of lectures on conferences and seminars or private communications. It is, moreover, not only about results, but also about hypotheses or problems. No wonder that the members of the group write many common papers with coauthors from other groups, universities, countries and continents.
