Conferences

KMD is proud to hold the oldest series of regular mathematics conferences organised by AGH. In 1990, we organised the first meeting of the Cracow Conference on Graph Theory series in Niedzica. Over time, this conference gained a lot of international prestige and was attended by many specialists from the world's top, and the number of participants exceeded a hundred. To this date, 9 editions have been held in a 4-year cycle.

Since 2010, we have been co-organisers of the Polish Combinatorial Conference, which is held every two years at the facilities of the Institute of Mathematics of the Polish Academy of Sciences in Będlewo. This event is addressed mainly to young combinatorialists and the invited lecturers are eminent mathematicians from various countries.

In 2024, for the second time (previously in 2016), we will be hosting at AGH participants of the International Workshop on Graph Labelings.

A significant role in our scientific life was played by the Workshop 3in1 Graphs miniconferences, which were held every November from 1991 to 2019. Twice, members of our department organised the annual Hereditarnia workshops in 2015 and 2018.

In addition, we organised scientific workshops of a more local nature: Discrete Mathematics Days in Zakopane, organised jointly with the Department of Discrete Mathematics at the Jagiellonian University, and the Discrete Integration Meeting.
